Mexican pottery called Barro Negro. It literally means "black pottery". This is a shiny black pottery that does not use coloring agents, but the black color and shine that comes from the soil. This technique was developed in a village called San Bartolo Coyotepec and is still made today. Pottery has a history of about 2,500 years, but it had a matte texture for a while after its origin. But in the 1950s, a woman named Dona Rosa invented the black glow technology. As a result, it has gained explosive popularity and is now a pottery representative of Mexico.

This is an owl figurine I bought at San Bartolo Coyotepec.
*There are two large and small owls on the second page, but this is the small product page.
