Locally it is called Tapete. of Oaxaca, Mexico A naturally dyed wool rug woven by the Zapotec people of Teotitlán del Valle. We do not use chemicals for dyeing, instead extracting dyes from nature such as indigo for blue, rosemary for yellow, and cochineal insects collected from cacti for red, and dyeing the threads before weaving. It has a very natural color. The unique color combinations of the local people are also attractive.

This one was purchased from Isaac Vasquez Garcia (Isaac Vasquez Garcia Workshop). This workshop provides high quality rugs by reviving the once-discontinued natural dyeing technique.

A beautiful piece with blue and accent patterns. It's an easy-to-use size, so it's recommended for those who don't want to suddenly adopt a large size. This one-of-a-kind wool rug is perfect for the upcoming season.

Size: 70×50cm (excluding fringe)

*Fragments of trees may be mixed in when dyeing the thread. The product is inspected at the time of purchase and in Japan, but if you notice it while using it, please gently remove it by picking it up with tweezers.
